FL-41 TINT: REDUCE MIGRAINE SEVERITY

For many migraine sufferers, light is a common trigger. FL-41 is a specialized tint designed to help those with light sensitivity due to migraines, blepharospasm, traumatic brain injury and/or photophobia. This rosy tint blocks both green and blue wavelengths, typically found in the sun, digital devices, fluorescent lights and LED lights. The transmission rate (i.e. darkness) is approximately 50%.

In a study conducted by researchers at the University of Birmingham, migraine patients wearing the FL-41 tints experienced a reduction in the frequency of migraines symptoms, from 6.2 episodes per month to 1.6 episodes per month.

Although research shows an improvement in the severity and frequency of migraines with the FL-41 tint, not all patients respond positively. At our clinic in Vancouver, we have the FL-41 on display for you to try on. We encourage you to bring your digital devices and sit in our clinic for 15-30 minutes with the FL-41 glasses. Typically patients will respond within a few minutes. If the tint is found beneficial, we can customize the lenses to your prescription.

To ensure maximal benefit for the FL-41 tint, we recommend an eye examination to assess your vision, eye balance and eye coordination. Even a slight prescription imbalance can play a role in light intolerance, specifically for those working in front of digital screens.
